Book 1 - Under the Eagle
It is AD 45 and the fate of the Empire hangs in the balance. Pirates have captured scrolls that, in their ruthless hands, could destroy Rome. Centurions Macro and Cato may no longer be part of the Roman army but they must now follow orders to join the navy if they are to recover the scrolls before the Empire falls.

Book 2 - The Eagle's Conquest
AD 46 – The eastern provinces of the Roman Empire are under threat. Centurions Macro and Cato have arrived in Judaea to restore order to the Roman troops whose indiscipline has meant control of the region is starting to crumble. Book 3 - When the Eagle Hunts
Unrest in the eastern provinces continues in 46 AD. Rome’s old enemy Parthia prepares to unleash its might across the border into Roman protectorate Palmyra. Macro and Cato are posted to Syria in a desperate quest to protect the Empire. A battle that will test their courage and loyalty begins…

Book 4 - The Eagle and the Wolves
Centurions Macro and Cato are sailing to Rome after their harrowing campaign in the east has ended. An earthquake forces them onto the shores of Crete, a province in chaos and on the verge of a revolution. The men are faced with a rebellion that could ignite a disastrous uprising across the Empire.

Book 5 - The Eagle's Prey
Egypt, AD 49. Rebel gladiator Ajax threatens the stability of the Roman Empire. After a series of attacks along the Egyptian coast the locals are holding the Romans responsible. Ajax and his crew must be stopped. Macro, Cato and the Twenty-Second Legion are hot on his trail, but will they defeat him before he destroys them?

A shadowy Republican movement threatens Rome and the Emperor Claudius in AD 51. Treachery lurks within the Praetorian Guard, and as Cato and Macro follow orders to infiltrate it they unravel more than one conspiracy. The army veterans must protect their Emperor if they are to save the Roman Empire.

Book 12 - The Blood Crows
AD 51 – The Roman army’s fight to hold Britannia continues almost a decade after invasion. A campaign to resist the relentless natives begins, and Macro and Cato return to British shores to aid it. The men must fight as never before to bring peace to this most perilous region of the Roman Empire.

Book 13 - Brothers in Blood
The Roman army’s campaign to suppress the barbaric island of Britannia rages on. While some of the British people are happy to accept the benefits of Roman rule, still some powerful and wily tribal leaders resist. As Macro and Cato lead their troops against the enemy again, it becomes clear that there is a spy on the Roman side. And he must be rooted out before insurrection spreads.

Book 14 - Britannia
Centurion Macro, injured in a skirmish near the Roman camp, is left in charge while Prefect Cato heads out with the bulk of the men to crush the Druids. But soon Macro suspects a devious plan to divide and break the Roman troops. Can he reach the expedition force in time to warn them and foil the enemy’s schemes? As brutal winter weather hinders the Romans, the local forces grow in strength and cunning...

Book 15 - Invictus
Recuperating from their last mission in Rome - a dangerous city of spying, plotting and sudden death - Cato and Macro are selected to travel with the Praetorian Guard to the troubled province of Hispania, where rebels range over the land. An embittered local populace, challenging terrain and a cunning and well-equipped enemy would be challenging enough, but the discovery of intrigue against the Emperor adds deadly danger in a situation where no one can be trusted...

Book 16 - Day of the Caesars
The Emperor Claudius is dead. Nero rules. His half-brother Britannicus has also laid claim to the throne. A bloody power struggle is underway. All Prefect Cato and Centurion Macro want is a simple army life, fighting with their brave and loyal men. But Cato has caught the eye of rival factions determined to get him on their side. To survive, Cato must play a cunning game, and enlist the help of the one man in the Empire he can trust: Macro. As the rebel force grows, legionaries and Praetorian Guards are moved like chess pieces by powerful and shadowy figures. A political game has created the ultimate military challenge. Can civil war be averted? The future of the Empire is in Cato’s hands...

Book 17 - The Blood of Rome
It is AD 55. As trouble brews on the eastern fringes of the Roman Empire, Tribune Cato and Centurion Macro must prepare for war… The wily Parthian Empire has invaded Armenia, a frontier territory claimed by Rome, ousting King Rhadamistus. The king is ambitious and ruthless, but he is vital to Rome's strategic interests. General Corbulo must restore him to power, while also readying the troops for war with the powerful Parthian Empire. Corbulo orders new arrivals Cato and Macro, and their elite cohort of Praetorian Guards, to carry out the task. Marching into unmapped and unfamiliar terrain to restore an unpopular king is a perilous mission. Allies cannot be trusted and foes lurk on all sides. The bravery and skill of the Roman army will be tested to the limit...
